Alison Oultram, founder of Arabella Miller
The Arabella Miller story began after our youngest daughter developed severe baby eczema (inherited from Daddy!) and we looked for eczema friendly baby clothing to ease her skin irritation.
Wearing organic cotton baby clothing really helped to relieve her eczema and when she outgrew her organic babywear, we looked for more organic cotton clothes for children. One day we couldn’t find funky kids clothing we liked and so we decided to produce our own.
Producing organic cotton clothes opened our eyes to the reasons why it’s important to choose organic cotton clothing for children. So we applied for Arabella Miller organic children’s clothes to be certified organic by the Soil Association, to give parents like us that extra bit of reassurance of quality and safety. Soil Association certification means that that our organic cotton clothes can be traced right back to the field where the cotton was picked. We’ve ensured that the ink in our unique designs is also certified organic by the Soil Association
This makes Arabella Miller children's clothes a first in the UK and we hope others will also consider using certified organic ink in children’s clothing. They’re produced in a factory audited by the Fairwear Foundation so that means a better deal for those that make Arabella Miller clothing and reassurance that no children have made your child’s clothes.
