Hempsons Sponsors the Future 100 Awards 2010future_100

The Future 100 Awards celebrates the achievements of young social entrepreneurs who are running a business with a triple bottom line of people, planet and profit.

The Awards reception took place on Global Entrepreneurship Week’s Social Enterprise Day, Thursday 18 November 2010, organised by Striding Out. This year the event was sponsored by Hempsons.

From establishing a business to taking it through to growth, legal advise is essential..so give them a call!

This is the third successful consecutive year running and is particularly poignant for Striding Out as it celebrates its fifth anniversary. Future 100 first launched in 2008 to recognise and profile young entrepreneurs running businesses, which impact on society, economy and the environment.

Clive Hill-Archer, Business Development & PR Manager at Hempsons reflected that, "it was an occasion that was brimming with anticipation, excitement and a real sense of achievement. We were proud to have sponsored the celebration of these young entrepreneurs".

Heather Wilkinson, CEO of Striding Out, is the founder of the Awards. She commented that: “Social enterprises across the country have been positively impacting lives and causes for a number of years, but they are commercial organisations in their own right, contributing to the UK’s economy. We should recognise, acknowledge and celebrate this! With the backing of our sponsors, partner and supporters, the Future 100 Awards does just this.”

This is what some of the winners had to say:

Laura North, founder of Speaking Out

"I just wanted to say a big thank you for the fantastic awards ceremony - I really enjoyed the evening, especially hearing from speakers such as Peter Holbrook, and talking to other winners."

Christopher Longman, founder of The Design Academy

"Thank you so much for a wonderful evening yesterday at the Future100 awards.  It proved a great networking opportunity and was nice to be surrounded by likeminded people."

The event was well attended by an eclectic mix of winners, sponsors, speakers, business press and special guests.
