But what are the complexities you are likely to face? Where should you start? How should you go about finding the right partner abroad?

  • Rob Denman, CEO and Editor in Chief of Pathfinder Business Magazine, the leading magazine that works to inspire and assist business and investors to new markets.

    Previously a journalist and with extensive travel experience, Rob eventually found himself in the UAE where he spent 5 years working with business from large multi-nationals such as ABB, Weatherford, Shell down to small SMEs to help them establish their interests in the Gulf markets.On his return to the UK, Rob continued to research why business was struggling to grasp the opportunities across all the emerging markets and how it can evaluate the benefits and risks and find the best partners.The result was Pathfinder Business - a glossy publication to help in this process and to help business leaders overcome the barriers in their own minds to make those crucial first steps from Shanghai to Sao Paulo and Beijing to Beirut.

  • Greig Holbrook, Director of Oban Multilingual, a world leader in multilingual SEO with offices in 26 countries worldwide.

    Greig has worked in the industry for over 7 years and was the Director of the International Web Unit at the University of Brighton where he pioneered research in marketing websites to both multilingual and multicultural users of the web. OBAN provide training on Multilingual SEO for UKTI companies and Corporate clients – keeping them up to speed with the latest developments. OBAN specialise in developing global SEO strategy for SME’s, Multinationals and Government Organisations alike.

  • Lucian Tarnowski, Founder of Brave New Enterprises. Having launched Brave New Enterprises in November 2007 – supported by Dragon Den’s James Caan and "Secret Millionaire" Ben Way - Lucian Tarnowski is launching Brave New Talent, a graduate recruitment social network (a halfway house between Monster and Facebook), in India and the UK.

    Lucian was the first undergraduate entrepreneur to receive EU financial backing and Edinburgh University support. For the last three years he has run what was one of the UK’s only entirely student run charities - Take Heart India - achieving international media coverage for a charity he has worked with in India since the age of nine. He is on the board of the Next Generation India network at the UK IBC and is a Make Your Mark Connector.

The event will take place at One Alfred Place, a new kind of club that combines the best of a private members’ club with your own London office.

A discussion on how to be a great entrepreneurial leader and how to build effective entrepreneurial teams. The discussion will be led by Morton Patterson, a Striding Out Business Coach and Rob Hammond, a pracitioner of Insights, a personality profiling tool that enables entrepreneurial leaders to identify their strengthes and weaknesses and helps them to build effective teams by recruiting people with complementary skills, or understanding how they can better work with their existing team.

Our guest expert for the evening is Grant Lebott, Founder of the Intelligent Sales Club.

In order to address the massive changes that have rendered the traditional Sales and Marketing model obsolete Grant Leboff formalised his own Sales and Marketing philosophy Sales Therapy®.
It was these ideas and principles that helped Leboff build his own successful telemarketing company. After starting the business in 2002 Leboff sold out earlier this year.

Leboff is the Principal of The Intelligent Sales Club Ltd which concentrates on putting together effective Sales and Marketing strategies, mentoring Owners and Directors in their Sales and Marketing and providing Sales and Marketing training. The ethos of the Company is finding cost effective ways of encouraging customers to approach you thus creating a solid Sales pipeline.

Leboff spends a significant amount of time giving talks about Sales and Marketing for a variety of business groups. He is a regular contributor to many business magazines and newspapers and has been featured in the Daily Telegraph, The Independent, The Daily Mirror and appeared on BBC Radio. His first book Sales Therapy®, was in the top 10 Amazon bestseller list when it was published in October last year and was one of the top selling books on Sales, in the UK in 2007, and has now been published worldwide.
