Sell Yourself Well

To sell yourself and your business well, it's important to know what you have achieved.

We recommend that you reflect on your achievements regularly and communicate them clearly to your stakeholders, to create confidence amongst your team, your investors, and new and existing clients.

It's important to give yourself that confidence boost too. You put significant effort into your business, so it's important to feel proud of yourself.

So let's reflect on what your achievements might be:-

During the last month, quarter or year...

  • How many new leads have you converted to clients?
  • How many clients have you secured? Have you hit or exceeded your targets?
  • How many clients are repeat customers?
  • How many new clients have you received through referrals and recommendations?
  • Why are your customers satisfied with your service?
  • How many of each product or service are you selling? Are you hitting or exceeding your targets?
  • Are people buying multiple products/services from you?
  • How many new products or services have you launched?
  • How much media coverage have you achieved?
  • What are you famous for - why do people buy from you? what are your products/services known for?
  • What is your unique position in the market place?
  • How does your product/service provide a solution to a current problem?
  • Are you hitting your financial targets?
  • Do you give customers value for money from your products/services?
  • Have you saved your customers money?

You can select those questions that are most important to you and your stakeholders, and insert them into a performance framework which you can continue to update and review each month. The results can then be integrated into your sales pitch, so you can just roll off your achievements when asked.
