Originally from Liverpool, Matt is a bona fide member of 'Generation Y' with a passion for social enterprise, inspired by a work experience placement with the Big Issue. Since he graduated in 2005 he has worked with numerous social enterprises in catering, community tourism and housing, spanning the UK to the southern tip of Africa and worked with some of the world's leading social entrepreneurs along the way. Matt is an excellent communicator and has developed skills in sales and marketing, report writing, public speaking, policy writing and event management; he even cooked dinner for Winnie Mandela. He’s now using these skills to help Striding Out inspire young entrepreneurs to business success.
