
We work in partnership with other organisations, to inspire, support and develop the skills of young entrepreneurs. We look to partner organisations to jointly bid and deliver enterprise support programmes, or compliment an organisation's existing service.
- Raising awareness of social entrepreneurship amongst young people - Striding Out has been actively advising and working with the Minister and the Social Enterprise Team in the Office of the Third Sector to explore ways of raising awareness of social entrepreneurship amongst young people. This includes work with the HE Sector and NCGE, being a part of the National Steering Group for Social Enterprise Day, and we are working with the Social Enterprise Coalition to engage young people in the VOICE Conference in 2008.
- Social Innovation at The Hub - Striding Out is working with The Hub, a global network of for social innovators, to develop a package of business support services for it's client base. Striding Out is providing coaching services to it's members.
- Big Leap Competition - Striding Out hosts the Entrepreneurship Skills Competition for World Skills UK. To roll out the competition in our local areas we have partnered with the following Local Authorities -
London - Ealing , Croydon, Bexley , Hillingdon , Hammersmith and Fulham , and Islington and Camden.
Manchester - Oldham , Tameside , Rochdale , and Bury
Over the course of the year, ten budding entrepreneurs, are provided with a programme of interactive training sessions and one to one coaching to develop the ultimate business plan, to secure start up investment.
- Target on Community Enterprise - Striding Out has been working in with Islington Council during 2006-2007, to deliver a package of support to social entrepreneurs in the London Borough of Islington area. Striding Out has been responsible for delivering workshops and one to one coaching to participants on the course.
- NESTA - Striding Out has provided one to one coaching services to participants on NESTA's Creative Pioneer Programme . NESTA has also partnered with Striding Out to host networking events.
- Enviro-Entrepreneurs School- Striding Out is working with London Remade and QED Consulting during 2007 to deliver a package of support to budding entrepreneurs working in the social and environmental industries. Striding Out is responsible for delivering workshops on social entrepreneurship, and providing one to one business coaching to participants on the School.
- National Social Enterprise Day 2006 - Striding Out teamed up with Social Enterprise London , London Remade , Big Boost, London Business School and Natwest/Royal Bank of Scotland to organise deliver a Masterclass of Social and Ethical Entrepreneurship for National Social Enterprise Day in 2006.
- University Talent - Striding Out has been working in partnership with West Focus , a consortium of seven Univerisities across South West London, to help engage social enterprises and small businesses in recruiting student talent. Striding Out was contracted to deliver their service in the business community, actively promoting and connecting businesses to the student workforce.
- YES: Young Enterprising Skills Consortium - YES was founded in September 2005 by Striding Out to work with different partners to run a range of enterprising programmes, events and activities, to develop a young person's interest and knowledge about self employment. The activities work with young people in education, to help them develop enterprising projects. The first YES programme has been working with Forum for the Future , Hackney Skinner School for Girls, and Futerra to develop a Sustainable Education Programme for 14-18 year olds. Plans are currently being put in place to pilot the project in 2007.
